As part of the implementation of the tasks set by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 8, 2018 No. PF-5505 on the introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the law-making process, the Ministry of Justice created an information system and launched it on February 27.

Today, normative legal acts adopted through this system are sent electronically to approximately 600 governmental agencies and to organizations within the Ministry of Justice as well as to organizations throughout the country and their territorial divisions.

In addition, during this period, the state institution called "Center for Legal Information" Adolat "handed over normative legal acts to more than 140 state bodies and organizations according to the list approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 22, 2017 No. 1013.

During this period, about 900 documents were officially published in the National Database of Legislation (hereinafter - the National Database).

To date, the National Database contains a total of 83 121 documents, including 29 126 in Uzbek, 26 096 in Latin, 27 734 in Russian and 165 in English (https://lex.uz/statistic).

In order to expand unhindered access to the text of the legislation and with a view to increase the number of users of the National Database and the number of links to various Internet resources of lex.uz, ministries and departments were contacted, and as a result, a link to normative documents was provided to lex.uz

As of July 20, 2020, the National Database of Legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan (lex.uz) ranks 19th among the most frequently used sites in the www.uz domain.
