In the 1st quarter of 2022, the Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Justice carried out the following work to identify and eliminate corruption threats in the system of the Ministry:

I. In the field of improving the activities of bodies and institutions of Ministry of justice to combat corruption:

- the procedure for issuing medical certificates of death by medical institutions was abolished, and the procedure for the formation of medical certificates of death introduced only through the electronic system;

– the receipt of goods and other material assets was introduced an electronic system.

II. In the field of prevention and combating corruption offenses in judicial bodies and institutions:

As a result of summarizing the results of the assessment of corruption risks in the system of the Ministry of Justice, 58 (31 high, 27 medium) corruption risks were identified.

On August 9, 2021, the Minister of Justice approved a 54-item program to combat corruption in the system of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2022 to minimize the identified corruption risks.

In the 1st quarter of 2022, the recruitment process in some justice institutions was electronic, an electronic attendance system for students was introduced, 4 video tutorials on the possibility and benefits of online access to public services were prepared and disseminated to the public through social networks, etc.

In the 1st quarter of 2022, the Ministry of Justice received a total of 30 complaints and reports on the misconduct of employees of judicial bodies and institutions through communication channels.

Of these, a total of 25 reports on the misconduct of employees of bodies and institutions of Ministry of justice through the telegram channel "@antikorbot".

As a result of reviewing these appeals and messages Employment contracts were terminated with 1 employee, and appropriate disciplinary measures were applied against 6 employees. A preventive interview was also conducted with 27 employees.

In the 1st quarter of 2022, the bodies and institutions of Ministry of justice carried out more than 19,000 legal propaganda.

III. In the field of ensuring and monitoring the effective functioning of the anti-corruption system in the judiciary and institutions:

In the 1st quarter of 2022, the department conducted compliance inspections in 3 bodies and institutions of Ministry of justice. Based on the results of the compliance audit, recommendations were developed to minimize the risks of corruption.

The department has developed training materials aimed at improving the skills of employees of public service centers in the fight against corruption, and the Agency for Public Services is conducting training to improve the skills of employees of public service centers in the fight against corruption.

IV. In the field of cooperation with government agencies and organizations engaged in and participating in anti-corruption activities:

Pursuant to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-5177 of July 6, 2021 "On additional measures for the effective organization of anti-corruption activities" from October 1, 2021, practical assistance is provided to government agencies and organizations to establish a system of internal anti-corruption systems.
