On August 23 of this year, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Muzraf Ikramov, and the Director of the Rule of Law Center at Helsinki University, Tuija Brax.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Justice M. Ikramov gave detailed information to the guests about the activities of the Ministry and the large-scale reforms in the legal field that have been implemented in our republic in recent years.

Director of the Rule of Law Center at the University of Helsinki T. Brax positively evaluated the reforms being carried out in this direction.

The parties discussed the participation of the Rule of Law Center at the University of Helsinki in the activities within the framework of the project "Strengthening the rule of law and protecting human rights in Uzbekistan" developed jointly by the UN Development Program and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

During the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on improving the provision of free legal aid and human-oriented legal and state services, training and professional development of legal personnel by supporting the strengthening of legal and institutional frameworks in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify mutually promising cooperation in the field of law and justice.
